Reflective Learning
After reading both pieces of work on reflective learning I am beginning to understand that blogging may have some importance on learning and expanding your knowledge. Reflecting on what you have learned can highlight both the negatives and the positives on what you seemed to take in well and what you tend to struggle on.
I have read Kolbs theory and he suggests that that experience alone does not provide a sufficient learning experience in many situations and that there are four main parts; experience, reflection, conceptualization and planning. The learner must link these togther to have the best results in their learning. Gibbs however identified 6 steps to aid reflective practice; description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion, action plan.
All in all I'm starting to come around to that the idea of blogging what you have learned and reflecting will help my identify the ways I learn best and ultimately improve the quality of my work.

Website evaluation
We decided after our group discussion that our presentation would be on the actor/comedian Rob Brydon. The first thing we decided to do was to put his name into google and the three of us selected three different websites. The websites were wikipedia, IMDB and BBC. After a quick discussion we decided wikipedia was probably the best option with the most information.
We site coloned the website to check its reliability and carried on from there.
Even though wikipedia has by far the most information its not always the most reliable of sources. Its constantly changed and updated from various people and the facts are not always as accurate as they should be. All in all I think wikipedia is an excellent site to find information as long as you follow up some of the information to validate it.
